വിജയവാഡ: ചെമ്പിനുള്ളിലെ തിളച്ച സാമ്പാറിലേക്ക് തലകീഴായി വീണ് യുവതി മരിച്ചു. ആന്ധ്രാപ്രദേശിലെ വിജയവാഡയിലാണ് സംഭവം നടന്നത്. ഗണേശോത്സവത്തോടനുബന്ധിച്ച് നടന്ന അന്നദാന ചടങ്ങിനിടെയാണ് അപകടം.
വിജയവാഡ സ്വദേശിനി സുജാത (46)യാണ് മരിച്ചത്. ഭക്തര്ക്കായുള്ള അന്നദാനത്തിന് വേണ്ട ഒരുക്കങ്ങള് നടത്തിക്കൊണ്ടിരിക്കവെ പാചകപ്പുരയിലായിരുന്നു സംഭവം.
തിളച്ച സാമ്പാര് നിറച്ച ചെമ്പുപാത്രം മാറ്റിവയ്ക്കുന്നതിനിടെ യുവതി അബദ്ധത്തില് കാല് വഴുതി വീഴുകയായിരുന്നു. ഗുരുതരമായി പൊള്ളലേറ്റ സുജാതയെ ഉടന്തന്നെ ആശുപത്രിയില് എത്തിച്ചു. തീവ്രപരിചരണ വിഭാഗത്തില് ചികിത്സയിലിരിക്കെ തിങ്കളാഴ്ച രാവിലെയോടെ മരണപ്പെട്ടു.

A 46-year-old woman, Sujatha, died after accidentally falling into a vessel of hot sambar while helping serve food at a Vinayaka festival annadanam programme.
Sujatha had gone to volunteer at the food service when the accident occurred. She was helping serve meals to devotees when she fell into the hot sambar, suffering fatal injuries.
The incident left her family in deep grief during the festival.
